SYNOPSIS

The censorship and purge process carried out on the intellectual Heberto Padilla constitutes one of the most complex episodes in recent Cuban cultural history. This week on El desvelo, we will approach the controversy generated by the documentary the Padilla Case by Pavel Giroud. In the company of filmmaker Dean Luis Reyes and visual artist Hamlet Lavastida, we will understand the historical context and the need for universal access to visual evidence of the purge process led by State Security, which made the documentary possible.
